Some fella from the orient has managed to get his hands on one and share a bucket load of photos of it with the world. Nice one! As a successor to the E680 the E690 will use Linux as its operating system.
The phone itself does not have a slider revealing a keypad as you may imagine but, instead, number and text input is performed via a touch screen and stylus. Otherwise the features are a fairly standard affair - 256k TFT screen, 2mp camera and an SD card slot - with support for a wide range of media formats (MP3, WMA, AAC, AMR, MP4 and 3GP).
There are also a number of quick access buttons on the side of the E690 which allow control of the media functions with out having to go through the main menus. As mentioned the phone is out in China next month, with no news of an international release at this point.
