The “Platinum Card Phone” (SCH-V870) comes in stainless steel and is 8.9 mm thick, 5.4 cm wide and 8.7 cm long.
The company says it fits easily into the breast pocket of a dress shirt.
It even comes in a leather case much like those used to hold name cards, which has an extra battery on the side. Samsung
says that makes it especially suitable for sales reps who tend to use the phone 1.5 times more than others for business purposes.
Despite its small size, the phone features an MP3 player, 1.3 megapixel camera, camcorder and electronic dictionary and equipped
with an external memory slot.
The model costs less than W600,000 (US $600). Released first overseas, the card phone has already been picked as one of
the best high-tech gadgets by U.S. weekly Time and French magazine Nouvel Observateur.
