It comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera, which as far as we know is the highest resolution camera in any generally available sliding phone.
Everything else about the SGH-D870 is pretty similar to other Samsung sliders, with a 240x320 pixel display, 80Mb of memory expandable via microSD cards, Bluetooth, multimedia playback and the rest of the features you'd expect.
From the front, the D870 is pretty much the same unexciting design that we've seen on other recent Samsung sliders.
We don't know if the other side of the phone is any
better as Samsung haven't supplied photos of that
part of the SGH-D870 and we've yet to get our
hands on one. We suspect that the unexciting design
is going to let down what would otherwise be an
interesting phone.
The SGH-D870 is a tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 device with GPRS and EDGE that measures 104x51x19mm and weighs 93 grams. Price and availability are not know at the time of publication.
